Team Leader
- Experience Required:
- An experienced Journeyman
Pipe Fitter/Welder with leadership ability, preferably skilled in TIG,
Sanitary Stainless Steel Welding.
- Physical Requirements:
- Body Positions:
Standing, Sitting, Squatting, Stooping, Reaching
- Body Movements:
Walking, Carrying, Pulling, Pushing, Lifting up to 100 Pounds without
assistance. Use of hands, fingers, feet, eyes. Ability to operate
construction equipment, power tools, vehicles.
- Body Senses:
Use of vision, hearing, touching, smelling.
- Mental Requirements:
- Mathematics:
Good knowledge of all functions of Arithmetic, Addition, Subtraction,
Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals.
- Language:
Ability to read operating instructions for equipment and tools. Good
verbal and written communications skills.
- Other:
Deductive reasoning necessary to read, analyze, evaluate, and act on
management reports and data to lead, motivate, and supervise employees.
Ability to read and work from construction plans, drawings, and
specifications.
- Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work
at heights on lifts
- Some work in
temperature extremes
- Often requires
working in excess of 40 hours per week
- Must be able to work
weekends when needed
- Substantial work
away from home
- Must sometimes travel by
air to job sites
- Responsibility:
- The Team Leader is
responsible for all facets of fabrication and installation of a project
and the completion and owner acceptance of it on schedule, being done
with all expenditures within the job budget amounts. Although He/She
must of necessity delegate duties and authority to personnel under
His/Her jurisdiction, nevertheless He/She is solely responsible for
performance and results.
- Key Measures of
Performance:
- Complete each
project on schedule.
- Control hours and
costs to complete each contract job within the budgeted costs.
- Control quality of
work so that callbacks on assigned projects are minimal.
